[jira] Commented: (HTTPCLIENT-723) HttpRoutePlanner based on ProxySelector

Roland Weber commented on HTTPCLIENT-723:
-----------------------------------------

I've checked in a fully untested ProxySelectorRoutePlanner.
I'm leaving this issue open until I've had time to make some tests.
Full unit testing will require a MockProxySelector.

cheers,
  Roland

> Since we now require Java 5, we should have a route planner that uses the standard Java ProxySelector. That would allow us to automatically pick up proxy settings from system properties or the browser running an applet.
