> Tags and levels of a path represent some dimensions of a timeseries. While the levels are anonymous, tags has the tag key as their name. Since the path of a timeseries is hard to change once it is created, tags are more flexible and can be added or dropped easily.
> IoTDB now supports level aggregation. But tags are used only to filter out timeseries in `SHOW TIMESERIES` statement, and that's why tags are not widely used.
> Supporting tag aggregation allows users to store the dimensions as tags and provides the ability to do complex analysis over their timeseries data.
