[jira] Commented: (COCOON-2064) PropertySettings does not support
run-mode (but documents that it does)

Ralph Goers commented on COCOON-2064:
-------------------------------------
I apologize. You are correct that running mode is not implemented. The error was in leaving the documentation in the class. It was "borrowed" from trunk and retrofitted back to 2.1 as I had a need to externalize the properties. I will remove those comments from the class. Running mode is supported in trunk.
I'm leaving this open and assigning to me so that I can clean this up and document this.

> Key: COCOON-2064
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COCOON-2064
> Project: Cocoon
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: * Cocoon Core
> Affects Versions: 2.1.10, 2.1.11-dev (Current SVN)
> Reporter: Ellis Pritchard
>
> org.apache.cocoon.util.PropertySettings documents the following:
> * 2) context://WEB-INF/properties/[RUNNING_MODE]/*.properties
> * Default values for the running mode - the order in which the files are read is not guaranteed.
> The running mode support doesn't seem to actually be implemented.
> In addition, the properties facilities of Cocoon 2.1.10+ are not documented anywhere outside of the source, so many users may be unaware of this facility (I was).
