Idea for a new feature
Hello,
I have an idea for a new feature for a word-processing program. I think it
could be a helpful addition to Writer.
My programmer friend says it could be easy to create, but we'd need access
to the source code of the program.
Could you please let me know how to implement this idea, and how we could
become involved with Open Office?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Isabel Prochner

Hello Isabel,
you have received other answers, see

We obviously cannot tell you how to implement the idea unless we know
the idea... but you can find an "introduction to development" at
http://openoffice.apache.org/orientation/intro-development.html
Note: often new developers need to understand the OpenOffice code
structure before they can be productive. Feel free to share more details
with this mailing list (dev) and ask questions. Remember that you will
miss answers if you don't subscribe to the list and you don't follow the
archives. See http://openoffice.apache.org/mailing-lists.html
Regards,
Andrea.
