[users@httpd] How to log the actual IP address of the machine accessing the website


Hi

Is it possible to grab the actuall IP address of the machine accessing the 
websie ( not of the hub etc ), an IP address is always logged in the 
access.log file but its not the actual IP address of the machine, I am using 
apache 1.xx.

No, if the machine accessing the site is behind some kind of NAT
gateway, it will not be possible to log the IP of the originating
machine, as it's not sent in any way with the request.
