Nevermind everyone. The new ones out of CVS work with a bit of
classpath tweaking (resolver jar file and xerces jar file)

I'm wondering if anyone has any ant/shell scripts they currently have
working to crawl for lucene searching. I've tried getting this working
by using the crawl-and-index.sh and crawl_and_index.xml scripts included
with lenya and the ones in the oscom publication, but I'm running into
various issues relating to the org.apache.lenya.search.crawler.* classes
not being found by ant. My classpaths entries in the ant script are all
pointing to the proper jar files and the WEB-INF/classes dir but it is
complaining about classes not being found even though they are there.
If you have something working and could post your scripts, it would help
me greatly to debug what isn't working.

actually this shouldn't be necessary. All you should do is copy
src/webapp/lenya/bin/search.properties.sample
to
src/webapp/lenya/bin/search.properties
and customize the parameters to your settings
