RE: Slide tutorial, samples

Hi,

One reason why there is no (or hardly any) "real-life" example around is
that the latest release of slide is 1.0.16 which is very out of date.

When project stalls like this, there are lesser people willing to use it
in "real-life" applications.

Regards,
Daniel

Sorry, there is nothing. Seems bizarre I know... There must be open source
initiatives based on Slide, but I know of none. There are some examples in
the source distribution of Slide.

It's not impossible to get up and running, so give it a go. There are
numerous FAQs on how to get it set up, but some are riddled with mistakes.
I have published the full procedure that allowed me to 'get it working' (do
a search on that in the archives), which will save you a lot of time.

Once it is up and running, you will be able to view your filestore, but you
won't be able to out files in it. You will need to write an upload Servlet
(you can parse multi-part/form POSTs easily using Apache Commons
FileUpload), and more than likely you will need to extend the standard
WebdavServlet. Neither of these tasks are likely to be taxing, in the grand
scheme of things ;o)

Good Luck

Stuart

High!

I'm new to Slide and would like to look through a tutorial,
but is there one? Could someone point me to some open source project (if
any exists) powered by slide? I also need some slide "real-life"
samples.

With best regards,
