### Description
It would be great if Gradle/Groovy could provide the same when on a line with a dependency, like:
`testImplementation 'io.micronaut.test:micronaut-test-junit5:3.1.1'`
### Use case/motivation
MAVEN projects have a very useful artefact version suggestion when trying to enter the `version` element inside the pom.xml.
Saves time to figure out the latest version of an artifact - given that NB already provides a maven index.

Sounds good. In fact, I'm interested in looking at opening up an API for artefact searching - have a need in a platform application for this in another context (actually needs a PURL), but had thought it would be useful in Gradle build files too.

I'm wondering if this would be better like the `Insert Code` option in POM files rather than the code completion approach. Might be easier to achieve without parsing?
Ideally we'd have an API that could search and then inject the text of any of the formats on the RHS of https://search.maven.org/artifact/org.apache.commons/commons-lang3/3.12.0/jar

It would be certainly a nice feature.
Right now we can't really parse a Gradle file, so what I'm thinking. initially that could be added for every string as a completion item...

I think both are needed:
1. Insert CODE for adding a new dependency through some form (search/lookup)
2. Code Completion: to suggest the highest available version for a given dependency when doing version bumps.

you mean for strings like: `testImplementation "org.hamcrest:hamcrest:${hamcrestVersion}"` or `testImplementation group: 'org.hamcrest', name: 'hamcrest-all', version: '1.3'` ?
