sending mail with the help of Lenya
Hi!
I want to send an email from my Lenya publication. I found some
documentation about this at next link:
http://cocoon.apache.org/lenya/docs/components/tasks/mailtask.html
I followed the instructions (making the task and pipeline) but no email is
send. I'm redirected to my confirmation page but the mail task isn't
performed. There is also no error raised and I can't find anything in the
Lenya log or Tomcat log. Do you have any suggestion of what went wrong or
where I can have a look to see what happened? Or is there any other
documentation about this subject?

i am not sure if the mail task uses the SMTP class. i think there is a
mail action that does. two means to the same end. room for consolidation..
honestly this whole mail stuff predates the mail block and should be
replaced in favor of the mail block

Within our publication we did not change the setting within
conf.properties but in the targets.xml.

did you configure your mail host in
WEB-INF/classes/org/apache/lenya/net/conf.properties
?
please also file a bug about moving this configuration from its current
obscure place to the admin GUI.
