Initial code drop of Beehive into Apache

I'm pleased to announce that thanks to a ton of work by many folks, the
initial Beehive code drop into Apache has taken place, as of rev #22985.
Enjoy!

Checking out the code drop is pretty simple

Steps to download the code.

Step 1 ) Install svn client http://subversion.tigris.org/
Step 2 ) In the specified directory say "beehive" run the svn client
"svn checkout http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/beehive/"
Step 3) That's All..

Enjoy Beehive ...

I figured I might add similar instructions for users of netbeans.

1) First of you need the netbeans Subversion profile. It has already
been mentionned on this maillist before. If you missed it you can find
it at http://vcsgenerics.netbeans.org/profiles/
2) Mount a VCS filesystem and choose the Subversion profile.
3) You only need to specify a working directory and the URL to download
from (see attached image)
4) Next you can choose "SVN Local > Check out" from the mouse's quick
menu (if you are asked for a password leave it empty)

One remark it takes quite some time before output is effectively sent to
the VCS Output window. There is however quite a lot to download so don't
assume it hangs.

Cheers,
Sebastian Gozin

I use the SVN eclipse plug-in and this is how I downloaded the beehive code.

1) Open the SVN repository exploring perspective
2) Right click on the left menu pane and select new Repository
3) Enter http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf
4) I used the twistie to open up the repository entries and the incubator
entries.
5) I right clicked on beehive and selected check out as project
6) After some time I was able to see the project on my Java pane and
edit,compile etc.
7) As a note I also use the myeclipse plug-in which will allow you to do
some interesting things with the web side of things as kind of a preview of
what migt be coming with pollinate.

I am looking forward to getting a chance to overview the code and begin to
understand it better.

Have fun..
