[jira] [Reopened] (EXTCDI-258) @TransactionScoped outside of a request

Mark Struberg reopened EXTCDI-258:
----------------------------------

we must revert this commit.

This basically breaks the whole setup of @TransactionScoped beans in a CDI container. You just cannot assume that a transaction is always a single thread is not valid with async requests anymore. We really must use the platform provided mechanics for it.

[jira] [Commented] (EXTCDI-258) @TransactionScoped outside of a request

Gerhard Petracek commented on EXTCDI-258:
-----------------------------------------

@RequestScoped leads to the same/similar result (e.g. the request context in owb is a ThreadLocal) the cleanup is even earlier since it's done after the transaction handling (and not at the end of a request)
