[users@httpd] Apache2 apxs?

Hi

Im trying to get the Apache connector for OpenGroupware to compile for my Apache2, and it needs to know where my apxs binary is located. I have no souch thing (dont even know what it is), and I'm not even sure there is one for Apache2.

Is there, and if so, how do I get it inastalled on my Fedore Core 2 Linux?

Well, I'd always install from source.

If you prefer RPMs, that's up to you. But Apache people aren't
responsible for the RPMs. We don't know enough about them to help
when things don't work as expected, nor do we know where they put
something like apxs - or even if they rename it. So if you want
support, you need to go to your packager, not here.

Did you try "locate apxs"?

Sorry for typos. The source distro is in http://httpd.apache.org/
download.cgi :)

Well first off, send only one message, not two (is it only me?). Then get the
apache source distro from httpd://apache.org/download.cgi (get it from the
closes mirror, verify it with KEYS file, extract it and configure with your
prefered parameters. And apxs WILL be included with sources for sure.

Well it's more like a matter of belief. I don't like binaries (exept i have
no
choise on Win32 platform since i haven't got Visual Studio. But on unix i
ALWAYS choose source since i can compile it the way i want Apache to be. And

i've never had any problems at all!

There should be an httpd-devel-<version>.rpm on your install disks

I'm just making a guess here, I don't have Fedora installed at this
location - but that's how it is on RHL 9

You should install Apache2 from sources and then your apxs binary will be
located in apache subdirectory bin/ with name apxs (duh).
