Status of PHP Shinding

Hi Everybody,

I was just wondering what's the current status of the PHP version of
Shindig. Is it completely synchronized with it's Java equivalent? Is it
still actively maintained? Can it be used in a production environment?

I'm asking that, because I tried to download and install Shindig PHP
2.5.0b5 and I'm not able to run any gadget from
the /samplecontainer/examples/commoncontainer/index.html page. I get a
whole bunch of Js errors that make impossible to instantiate
a osapi.container.Container. It looks to me like something that is
definitely not maintained (unless I'm not doing anything wrong)

I know that Shindig 1.0 PHP was working, but I need some more recent
features as for example EE gadgets and OAuth2.

Thanks for your help.

Mario.

HI Guys,

The PHP part of OpenSocial is lack behind to the Java counterpart. Some do
use it for production but looks like it only has some parts of OpenSocial
2.0 specs implemented.

It is destined to be removed to attic (non active state) after 2.5 release.

Hi !

I asked exactly the same question to the dev list without any answer :

http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/shindig-dev/201301.mbox/
<CAAbtqUh_Bk%2B3K5Qc%2BHVqafr7dOR1sb2LwHbxdLNtLQNe7xTSaQ%40mail.gmail.com>

I think that the PHP version is not a priority...
