[jira] [Created] (OODT-331) Create baked-in xmlps config that can
unlock products and profiles from CAS filemgr catalogs
Create baked-in xmlps config that can unlock products and profiles from CAS filemgr catalogs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: OODT-331
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OODT-331
Project: OODT
Issue Type: New Feature
Components: file manager, product server, profile server, xmlps
Reporter: Chris A. Mattmann
Assignee: Chris A. Mattmann
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 0.4
Create an xmlps-style baked in config that supports cas-filemgr's DataSourceCatalog schema. This way, we can automatically ship xmlps with file manager and have an easy-to-evolve, configurable product/profile server.
It's not going to be super easy though, since XMLPS is all about flattening relational data, and cas-filemgr catalogs and cas-metadata are column-oriented. But, we can make some simplifying assumptions and get it done.
