[jira] [Created] (DRILL-125) Build an intro web site to support super fast trials of DRILL

Ted Dunning created DRILL-125:
---------------------------------

Summary: Build an intro web site to support super fast trials of DRILL
                 Key: DRILL-125
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-125
             Project: Apache Drill
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Ted Dunning

We need a micro-site that can be hosted pretty much anywhere that would include some sample data (possibly generated on the fly) and would allow entering some sample queries.

It would be nice if the steps in executing the sample queries could be exposed. For instance, it would be interesting to inspect the resulting logical query plan, physical query plan and execution plan. Being able to edit and resubmit the various plans would be cool as well.

It would also be nice if there are sample queries available that can be pasted into to query window so that users don't have to come up with something themselves.

Whoever does this should decide which features are really the ones to implement.
