Karaf is not working with Java 8u40 b15
I tested to start Karaf 3.0.2 and 4.0.0. For some reason it's not working.
Can you propose some fix?

AFAIK you need to make sure to use the Oracle JDK
This is no issue of Karaf. So please make sure you do as mentioned before.
We are no supporting crew for Oracle or OpenJDK JDK issues.

The only workaround is to switch to Oracle JDK instead of OpenJDK. It
looks like a regression in OpenJDK. I try to find a workaround.
It works fine with 1.8.0_20 from Oracle.

I bet that you use OpenJDK:
http://openjdk.java.net/projects/jdk8u/releases/8u40.html
Correct ? Which is not yet in GA.
I would create an issue at OpenJDK, as it works with other Java8
implementation.

I just tested with the latest Oracle JDK:
java version "1.8.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b17)
and it works fine.
As I said in my previous e-mail, can you do a java -version and send the
output ?
