How to make slide faster - submission

Summary: How to make slide faster - submission
           Product: Slide
           Version: 2.0
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Stores
        AssignedTo: slide-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: tara.talbott@pnl.gov

Here's my suggestion to make the rdbms store faster by reducing the number of
times the database needs to be accessed when modifying child bindings or
properties. If you have any questions let me know.
Tara

I will attempt to attach the modified files.

I haven't really looked at it, but I think we should go for it provided:

1) The work that still needs to be done is fairly minor
2) The potential for serious bugs is low

If this improves performance significantly, I think it's worth the effort.

Folks!

I have had a look at it and it seems promising and largely independent
of the used database. However, it still needs some work. Should we try
to add it to 2.1? Or defer it until later?
