Brilliant, that is a great way to track progress.

Feel free to also post your updates to this list  - you can then refer
to the gory detail in your blog (e.g. "What didn't work this week -
and look this cool thing!" :) )

I suggest making new email threads rather than building a very long
one  - just make sure you have a good (and tagged) Subject, e.g.

Subject: [GSOC] CWL prototype update - dummy workflow
