Keep collections created from a configset uploaded in untrusted mode after upgrade from Solr 8.3.1 to 8.10.1

Hi there,

we upgraded Solr from 8.3.1 to 8.10.1.
The configset was uploaded in 8.3.1 in untrusted mode without Authentication.
In Solr 8.10.1 there’s the following limitation that applies to our configset:

  * Collections won’t initialize if <lib> directives are used in the configset. (Note: Libraries added to Solr’s classpath don’t need the <lib> directive)
Thus, the collections won’t initialize anymore after the upgrade until the configset is deleted and re-uploaded with Authentication. During this process the collections and hence all index data is lost.

Is there any way to keep the existing index data after the upgrade without having to re-index everything?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks and best regards,
Jano Schuster
