new release: 1.3 RC1

There's a new Lucene release available for download.

See the website for details:
   http://jakarta.apache.org/lucene/docs/index.html

Please give it a try.

If there are no serious complaints in the next few days, then I'll send
this announcement to the lucene-user list as well.

Doug
