file recrawl

Hi,

I also work on the recrawl, but concerning a file system,
every thing works fine, I modified a file and I want to make a recrawl to index this new version of my file,
I am using nutch-0.8.1 and I test the recrawl script and the merge script,
they work fine, but to build the new index, all the files are indexed, the modified file and all the other files of the first index,
my problem is that I have a lot of files, so is it possible to index by merging a new index with an existing one?

I understood that creating a new index is important to be able to make search and indexing at the same time, so to separate the index,
But instead of creating a new one with an indexing af all the files,
is it possible to make a copy of the first index and merge this index with the new one containing only my modified file,
so just to make an update of the existing index ......

can anyone help me, thanks in advance.

Best regards
Aïcha
