[I] [Bug]: Mixed Chart tooltip repeats the first dimension's metric/dimension name for subsequent dimensions when Query A has multiple dimensions [superset]
htcnokia opened a new issue, #42326:
URL: https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/42326
### Bug description
### Bug description
When using the **Mixed Chart** visualization, if **Query A** is configured with multiple dimensions (groupby fields), the chart tooltip incorrectly displays the first dimension's name/label for the second and all subsequent dimensions.
### How to reproduce
1. Create or edit a **Mixed Chart** visualization.
2. Under **Query A**, add two or more dimensions to the **Group By / Dimensions** section (e.g., `Dimension 1` and `Dimension 2`).
3. Add a metric to Query A and run the query to generate the chart.
4. Hover over any data point in the rendered chart to inspect the tooltip.
5. **Observe:** The tooltip lists `Dimension 1` repeatedly instead of showing the actual names for `Dimension 2`, `Dimension 3`, etc.
### Expected behavior
The tooltip should accurately display the distinct names/labels for each dimension configured in Query A (e.g., `Dimension 1: value`, `Dimension 2: value`).
### Actual behavior
The tooltip repeats the label/name of `Dimension 1` for all subsequent dimensions belonging to Query A.
### Screenshots
*(Optional: Attach a screenshot or GIF highlighting the tooltip issue here)*
### Environment
- **Superset version:** [e.g., 3.1.0, 4.0.0, or dev]
- **Node/Python versions:** [if known]
- **Browser:** [e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari]

This is a confirmed bug tracked in [#37921](https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/37921) [[1]](https://github.com/apache/superset/issues/37921#issuecomment-5041668980). The root cause is in `transformProps.ts` — `MetricDisplayNameA` is computed once from `metrics[0]` and reused for **all** series in Query A [[2]](https://github.com/apache/superset/blob/829e4d92d91ceae4b43b1ed3b063ffe45377799c/superset-frontend/plugins/plugin-chart-echarts/src/MixedTimeseries/transformProps.ts#L242-L243). When multiple metrics exist alongside groupby dimensions, every series gets labeled with the first metric's name instead of its own.
[PR #40146](https://github.com/apache/superset/pull/40146) has a fix for this [[3]](https://github.com/apache/superset/pull/40146). It derives each series' metric display name from its own `label_map` tuple (`rawLabelMap?.[seriesName]`) rather than using the single shared `MetricDisplayNameA`. That PR is still open as of yesterday, so the fix hasn't landed yet.
