I can also confirm this bug.
I tried:

Eclipse Platform
Version: 3.2.0
Build id: M20060921-0945

and

Eclipse SDK
Version: 3.2.1
Build id: M20060921-0945

in both versions i got exactly the same results as the bug poster.
I installed the Maven 2.0 Integration plugin version 0.0.9 using the update site @ http://m2eclipse.codehaus.org/

Any news on this ?
