Adding a builder for Tamaya
Dear all,
in the last (really the last?) hangout Anatole and I discussed the
problem of configuring a Configuration manually. We would like to see an
builder module in the modules section of Tamaya for this.
I would like to add this before closing the feature list for 0.1.
Any objections?
Bye,
Oliver

Hi Werner,
I going to add a separate ConfigurationBuilder to the builder module. I
think it should be currently totally independ of all other modules as it
is an extension.

Yes and no. As I sad Tamaya should the user enable to implement his own
ideas.
If you start to enforce a specific architecture you will have acceptance
problems.
IMHO...

this problem is actually what I am looking for. Not having it is an
issue for me (in particular when you work with off-shore team).
Would also be awesome to be able to totally inhibit contextual
behavior - maybe we can I didnt think to it, just meant this is not
something you always want.

Hi Mark,
as usually it depends. From my point of view the user must decide what
he needs. We must not force him to do it in a specific way.
Secondly we must distinguish between the setup of the configuration and
the distribution of the configuration values. For example it is totally
fine to configure it manually and use Guice to inject the configuration.

Oliver
