another approach to configuration: project helidon/oracle podcast
Hi,
just tuning in into an Oracle podcast about project Helidon - yet
another/a different approach to configuration in Java Microservices/JEE:

Just to get some inspiration ;)
Helidon doesn't have a Tamaya integration yet, but seems to rely on
Microprofile as well:
https://helidon.io/docs/latest/#/microprofile/02_server-configuration
@Anatole: hasn't Dmitry Kornilov been the guy that was involved from
Oracle when starting a JSR was an ongoing discussion?

It looks like that helidon is not relying on Microprofile Config at all, it
has its own helidon package. It is basically another approach, supporting
MP config as a source. We can support helidon as well by providing
integration with it.

Another reason why on behalf of the Jakarta EE Spec committee I try to help
the JSR EG and Spec Leads out of the hole they dug themselves into and see
how it could become a Jakarta EE Spec instead.
IMO the MP API which already used by some of those products could be be
largely used and maybe just Spec documents or TCK from the JSR where they
exist.
Anybody proposed a talk for Berlin BTW.?
