Transaction support for Tomcat 4.1

Hello:

Does anyone know about enabling transaction support 
for tomcat 4.1.x? I'm aware of some plugins such
as JOTM. Is this the only transaction manager available
as plug in to tomcat or are there some more? How are
user experiences using JOTM? How reliable is it?
