[Issue 128007] New: Insert Envelope Dialog Crashes
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128007
Issue ID: 128007
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Insert Envelope Dialog Crashes
Product: Writer
Version: 4.1.5
Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 10
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 (lowest)
Component: printing
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: campbell.kevine@gmail.com
Target Milestone: ---
When I use the Insert Envelope dialog and try to type in the Addressee text box
OpenOffice crashes and I have to restart it and recover the document.
If I just Insert Envelope and then click Insert on the dialog without changing
anything an envelope inserts and I am then able to change the addressee and/or
return addresses directly on the inserted envelope. But if I try to change
anything in the dialog the app crashes completely.
I've tried reinstalling OPenOffice but it doesn't help.

It works on Linux.
Step s I did:
1. Open New Document
2. Insert -> Envelope...
2.1 enter address in addressee
2.2 uncheck sender
2.3 press insert button
3. Insert -> Envelope
3.1 Enter sender addressee
3.2 press modify
Is this also your workflow?

As Keith, I can not reproduce this crash with AOO 4.1.6 and Win7 x64 Pro.
This behavior is not typical and AOO works fine with Windows 10.

Yes, that seems to be what I'm doing as well. As soon as I start trying to
change the Addressee field it crashes hard.

Whether I uncheck sender or not it inserts the envelope and I can fill in the
addressee information.

I tried to rename the user folder like the link says but it keeps telling me
that something has the folder or a file in it open and I can't rename it. I
rebooted and it still says the same thing. I can't find any process or app in
Task Manager that looks like an OpenOffice process that is running. I'm not
sure what has it open.
BTW, I upgraded to the 4.1.6 version and it does the same thing.
