Per http://jackrabbit.510166.n4.nabble.com/Oak-vs-Jcr-APIs-td4665708.html, it is unclear when a user would use one API vs another. It would be great to document this either at the package level for {{org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.api}} or for each class in said package.
