Re: Tika: Invalid check sums / signatures

Hi Kai,

We had someone recently ask about this - some of the devs checked
and could verify. Could you show us the exact command you are using?
Also can you confirm the contents of your ASC files and your SHA1?

Cheers,
Chris

AW: Tika: Invalid check sums / signatures

Posted by "Linden, Kai Yves" <li...@bipro.net>.
Hi Chris,

in the meantime I just realized that it was a bad idea to right-click the hyper-linked file names on the download page (<http://tika.apache.org/download.html>, which is actually a landing page for the Tika downloads). I might not be the only one to whom the file names (with extensions) suggested to do that. Instead of the actual file I only got the HTML page with the mirror list which has the same name. The suffixes of the mirror list pages (*.zip and *.jar respectively instead of *.html) are misleading. Because of that I discovered my mistake only when wondering about the rather small file length of the downloaded items.

The check sums were verified perfectly for the actual files which I downloaded from the mirror list pages.

Something like "mirror list" in parentheses behind the file names on the download page (<http://tika.apache.org/download.html>) could be helpful.

Sorry for the confusion,
Kai Yves
