Arguments to jsp pages?

Hello,

I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask this question, but here it
comes:
How do I pass arguments to jsp pages?
Tha FAQ explains it about servlets, but not with jsp pages. Is web.xml
the right file to do it in?
I tried to add <Parameter name="name" value="value"/> to server.xml, but
it didn't work either.
