WordPress Plugins

Hi,

Beside general PHP support, I plan to meet the local Copenhagen WordPress
User Community to speak about Device Detection Plugins like
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mobile-detector/
(over 5000 devices, that sounds very good, probably worth a look by
PHP-savy contributors)
or
http://wordpress.org/plugins/51degreesmobi/
(by our "friends" at 51DegreesMobi, well at least many of you are familiar
with their offerings, and their product line is more sound and predictable
than those other *Mobi guys[?])
or
http://wordpress.org/plugins/wptouch/
or
http://wordpress.org/plugins/mobilepress/

There seem to be plenty, almost more than unique DDR or DDR-like solutions
for Java or .NET.

If the PHP support is followed up on, adding a WP plugin might be the most
logical step. Maybe those at the meeting tonight have their opinions, and
I'd also be keen to find out, which of these if any they prefer.

Cheers

Looks like the most promising approach could be this one based on askPythia
by W3C http://www.w3.org/2009/11/mobileOKPythia/plugin-wordpress.html

It used initial (Open ;-) WURFL but in a "processed" form, compatible with
W3C SimpleDDR so it should be possible to use with DeviceMap/OpenDDR data.
