I'll see this bugs and try to help in that and for the documentation I can
start to translate the examples in italian! I'll let you know.

Yeah, I already contact Apache Mahout, I'll take this idea for the future :)

Simon,

If you already have Accumulo up and running (otherwise writing a trivial
example to read/write some data should be your first step), I'd
recommend seeing if one of the tickets tagged as "newbie" on Jira
strikes your fancy. Most of the tickets should be approachable by
someone not familiar with the internals of Accumulo. [1]

Looking at your CV, it would be really cool to take some of your machine
learning interests and apply them using Accumulo as a backing store. I
know there is at least one other dev who is interested/well-versed in
machine learning subjects.

Could you translate any of the documentation - perhaps starting with
the examples into Italian? How often do Italian software developers
read both English and Italian?

Do you need more information?

I am not an expert of Accumulo, the project seems interisting so I thought
to ask if I can partecipate in the project.

Yes.

What are your skills? What do you enjoy doing? How long have you
worked with Java and Accumulo? What other software technologies have
you used?
