[jira] Commented: (INFRA-2670) Activate backup of
cocoon.zones.apache.org
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2670?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12870491#action_12870491 ]
Gavin commented on INFRA-2670:
------------------------------
My disk usage info differs:
-bash-3.00$ du -sh /home/*
1.7G /home/cdemos
327M /home/config
1.9G /home/daisy
'bertrand' is in /export/home/bertrand. and only 20K not 124M as indicated above?
(oh never mind, the 2nd time I ran the 2nd command 'zone-backups' has reappeared in the /export./home/bertrand dir.
and the next time I ran it:
-bash-3.00$ du -sh /home/*
1.7G /home/cdemos
1.9G /home/daisy
then I do
-bash-3.00$ ls -al /home
total 18
dr-xr-xr-x 3 root root 3 May 24 02:48 .
drwxr-xr-x 24 root root 512 Sep 24 2009 ..
drwxr-xr-x 9 cdemos demos 12 Jan 14 2008 cdemos
drwxr-xr-x 17 daisy daisy 37 Jan 8 02:26 daisy
then i do
-bash-3.00$ ls -al /zonestorage/cocoon/home/
total 35
drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 5 Sep 24 2009 .
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 3 Sep 24 2009 ..
drwxr-xr-x 9 cdemos demos 12 Jan 14 2008 cdemos
drwxr-xr-x 17 daisy daisy 37 Jan 8 02:26 daisy
drwxr-xr-x 24 maven users 37 Sep 24 2009 maven
wierdness abounds,
Anyway, I'll get it backed up somehow.
cocoon zones will be moving to a new home on freebsd jail within the next week, let me know if someone on cocoon would like to help.
Thanks

> Please activate automated backups of the following folders on that zone:
> /home
> /etc
> The most critical data is under /home/bertrand/zone-backups/daisy folder, about 120MB, updated daily.
> The rest is useful for disaster recovery, but doesn't change often, weekly backup is probably good enough.
