Sean Busbey created ACCUMULO-2664:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Continuous Ingest test should explain how to use pre-splits for ci table
Key: ACCUMULO-2664
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ACCUMULO-2664
Project: Accumulo
Issue Type: Bug
Components: docs, test
Affects Versions: 1.5.1, 1.6.0
Reporter: Sean Busbey

Fix For: 1.5.2, 1.6.1, 1.7.0
The current docs for the continuous ingest test mention the utility for generating split points:

Also, create the table "ci" before running. You can run `org.apache.accumulo.test.continuous.GenSplits` to generate splits points for a continuous ingest table.
{noformat}
It should give instructions on actually using it, e.g. for the default range of 0 to Long.MAX_VALUE:

[user@edge continuous]$ $ACCUMULO_HOME/bin/accumulo org.apache.accumulo.test.continuous.GenSplits > ci.splits
[user@edge continuous]$ $ACCUMULO_HOME/bin/accumulo shell -u root
