Snowballs chance of getting Companion + Chainsaw releases out the door in time for ApacheCon?

I'd really like to be able to have release of Chainsaw and the Companions
included in the ApacheCon news...

Is there any way we could get the them released in time?

I know -it's one week away...if Curt could build the tarballs, it's pretty
much a matter of waiting for the 3 days for a vote...

Thoughts?

Scott

In commons world i use my key without many trusts - I discussed with
them and we considerd it ok. I think thats fine here too even when it
would be better if has been trusted. I would go for setting up PGP -
better to have more people with this. Everything what makes us quicker
and more flexible sounds good to me, to be honest

There's no problem with releasing Chainsaw or companions - it's just a
matter of creating the artifacts. I'm not set up with PGP, and I don't have
a good sense of how critical it is to have a trusted key to cut releases.

Thanks Curt

I believe I've gone through all the rat reports for each companion and
Chainsaw and have taken care of issues reported.

I think I have the build problem for extras fixed. I'd like to resolve your right truncation feature and get a release candidate built tomorrow night. I haven't build receivers or chainsaw for a while, hopefully they are problem free. Both of those likely require more vetting since we haven't formally released them and need to ensure all the right license headers, etc.

log4j had an OSGi loader enhancement bug and the right truncation feature pending. Are there any other blocking bugs for log4j 1.2.17? If so, file it as a dependency for https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=49470
