[ANNOUNCE] branch-2.0 is being EOL'd. 2.0.6, currently in RC, will be the last 2.0.x release

Heads-up, branch-2.0 is being EOL'd.  An old discussion thread had it that
we should wait until 2.2.0 had shipped and that we should then cut one last
release [1]. The 2.0.6 that is currently in release candidate state will be
the last release off branch-2.0 (unless unforeseen circumstance).
