getting custom resource types into the menu...
hi !
i'm putting together my first custom resource type with lenya 1.4, and
i've read default/config/menu/generic.xsp.
unfortunately, the "Create new <doctype> document" items are not in
there. obviously they are created automagically, but where and from what?
regards,
jörn

I'll check in some docs during the next minutes
(module documentation).

i've spent some more time on this problem, and i'm still stuck.
additionally, i now get a popup window that says "There was a problem
retrieving the xml data - not found.".
here's what i've tried so far:
1. create a dir "localmodules" and add a corresponding entry in
local.build.properties.
2. create a module dir "person".
3. put in a sitemap.xmap:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<map:sitemap xmlns:map="http://apache.org/cocoon/sitemap/1.0">
<map:pipelines>
<map:pipeline>
<map:match pattern="*.xml">
<map:generate
src="lenya://lenya/pubs/{page-envelope:publication-id}/content/{page-envelope:area}/{page-envelope:document-path}"/>
<map:transform
src="fallback://lenya/modules/person/xslt/person2xhtml.xsl">
<map:parameter name="rendertype"
value="{request-param:rendertype}"/>
<map:parameter name="nodeid"
value="{page-envelope:document-name}"/>
<map:parameter name="language"
value="{page-envelope:document-language}"/>
</map:transform>
<map:serialize type="xml"/>
</map:match>
</map:pipeline>
</map:pipelines>
4. create a config/cocoon-xconf/resourcetype-person.xconf:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<xconf xpath="/cocoon/resource-types"
unless="/cocoon/resource-types/component-instance[@name = 'person']">
<component-instance name="profile"
logger="lenya.resourcetypes.person"
class="org.apache.lenya.cms.publication.ResourceTypeImpl">
<schema language="http://relaxng.org/ns/structure/0.9"
src="fallback://lenya/modules/person/resources/schemas/person.rng"/>
<creator src="org.apache.lenya.cms.authoring.DefaultBranchCreator">
<sample-name>fallback://lenya/modules/person/resources/samples/person.xml</sample-name>
</creator>
<link-attribute xpath="//*[namespace-uri() =
'http://soziologie.uni-due.de/ns/person']/@href"/>
<format name="xhtml" uri="cocoon://modules/person/person.xml"/>
</component-instance>
</xconf>
5. create resources/samples/person.xml and resources/schemas/person.rng.
the patchfile and buildconfig look ok, since the module ends up in
build/lenya/webapp/lenya. can anybody give me a hint and explain how the
"create new <doctype> document" menu entries are generated?
best,
jörn
