[jira] [Created] (JCLOUDS-430) JClouds modifies /etc/shadow
permissions to 644 on login
Roman Verchikov created JCLOUDS-430:
---------------------------------------
Summary: JClouds modifies /etc/shadow permissions to 644 on login
Key: JCLOUDS-430
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCLOUDS-430
Project: jclouds
Issue Type: Bug
Components: jclouds-scriptbuilder
Environment: Rackspace US/CentOS 6.4 image
Reporter: Roman Verchikov
In jclouds/scriptbuilder/src/main/java/org/jclouds/scriptbuilder/statements/login/ReplaceShadowPasswordEntry.java
ReplaceShadowPasswordEntry.render() method replaces /etc/shadow file with the one, which has additional user. In my environment (CentOS 6.4) this modifies file's permissions to 644, which should normally be 400.
