    I have a (likely wrong) idea about the service check. A couple of things to check- can you verify that Ambari runs the service check as the storm user, because that's just weird, isn't it? If it does, make sure the user identity it's using is in nimbus.admins. If that doesn't work, maybe try adding the metron user to nimbus.admins.
