[jira] [Commented] (AIRFLOW-851) Docs: Info how to cancel a running job

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AIRFLOW-851?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16728971#comment-16728971 ]

jack commented on AIRFLOW-851:
------------------------------

There is no way to cancel a running task from the UI.

You can set the DAG to off in the UI but this won't effect tasks in running state. It will prevent scheduling down stream tasks once the running task is finished.

> I am not sure how to kill a running Job.
> We have long running bash jobs and sometimes find out, that there is an issue and we want to cancel them.
> Right now we have to use ssh and do:
> {code}
> ps -aux | grep "bash script name"
> kill pid
> {code}
> Maybe there is already a way to do it form the UI, but we could not figure it out. I would like to add documentation, how to do it.
