10.8.1 update

We are getting close to being able to build a release candidate. Now a 
data corrupting regression has turned up (DERBY-5121), which I have 
marked as a showstopper. The bug has been assigned and I believe that we 
will be good to go once it's fixed. Thanks again for everyone's hard 
work on making the trunk release-ready.
