PR #2424 is a proposal that covers the `toString` part of this.
```
$ groovy -e "println ([[a:1], [1, 2] as Integer[]])"
[[a:1], [1, 2]]
$ export JAVA_OPTS='-Dgroovy.extension.disable=groovyToString'
$ groovy -e "println ([[a:1], [1, 2] as Integer[]])"
[{a=1}, [Ljava.lang.Object;@66d23e4a]
$ export JAVA_OPTS='-Dgroovy.extension.disable=groovyToString(Map)'
$ groovy -e "println ([[a:1], [1, 2] as Integer[]])"
[{a=1}, [1, 2]]
$ export JAVA_OPTS='-Dgroovy.extension.disable=groovyToString(Object[])'
$ groovy -e "println ([[a:1], [1, 2] as Integer[]])"
[[a:1], [Ljava.lang.Object;@28f8e165]
```
