Multiple secondary storages in a zone

Dear colleagues,
How ACS-4.x decides which secondary storage to use when making a snapshot?
Is there any hacks to use without making changes in sources?
I'd like to store snapshots and templates on different secondary storages,
is it possible?
Thanks in advance for any hints, ideas and suggestions!
V.

Vladimir,

If you have more than 1 secondary storage in a zone, all 'public' templates and IOSs are written to all of them, to provide redundancy. The first volume Snapshot for any given volume are written to one of them chosen at random, then all other snapshots linked to that first snapshot are always written to the same secondary storage.

This is currently no way to specify that one secondary storage is for Templates and ISOs, and another is for Snapshots, although I like the idea of this. I see the benefit that you could have a small secondary storage server for Templates and ISOs, optimised for read performance, and a much bigger one for Snapshots optimised for write performance etc.

Why don't you log a feature request.
