downloads

Mornin'

I'm slowly realigning my life to include time for James again :-)

I have two questions,

1/ downloads and bytes transferred:
http://www.apache.org/~vgritsenko/stats/projects/james.html#Downloads-N100DF
 have plunged since january.
Is this purely a consequence of our Good Citizenship and effective use of
the Apache mirrors?

1a/ Can someone (Noel?) who's involved with infrastructure find out if it
is possible to get combined download stats from the mirrors.... It would be
a shame if we can't use download's to tout the growing sucess of the
project.

2/ Is interest in James waning from a high around the time we moved to TLP?

2a/ If so what can we do about it... I have some ideas, but will post
later.

d.

PS I know it was four questions, but who cares?

PPS that makes five.

We certainly hope so. The mirroring folks have worked very hard to make it
that way.

It keeps coming up on infrastructure@. Suffice to say that no one knows the
true download rate for any of the mirrored projects. What I don't know
unless I pull the logs is how many downloads we've had of each test build.

Not from what I see. Plenty of new users.

Always good to do more. :-)
