QPID-5658/QPID-5659 Was: 0.28 release update
I found issues compiling qpid with FreeBSD 10 (the current release).
These fixes (all pretty small/trivial) allow it to compile and pass many
(but not all) tests under FreeBSD 10.
Can we get them in for 0.28 please?

Preliminary tests on Windows indicate everything is OK.

They compile with no errors on my VS2010 build.
Looking at the changes, nearly all of them are semantically null - ie
just different ways of expressing the same thing. The only exception is
actually a bug fix in the ha code. I'm not sure that the ha code is well
tested on windows in any case.
