Why are NoConsumer topic advisories only for non-persistent messages??

So this would TOTALLY solve the race condition I talked about in the other
thread.

I could listen for

ActiveMQ.Advisory.NoConsumer.Queue

and when a queue lacks a consumer, I can just fire it up.

The problem is it won’t work because I’m using a persistent store.

Is there a reason they don’t work for persistent messages or is this just a
design feature.

I’d love to submit a patch to enable it to work for non-persistent
messages.. or a flag to enable it.

Kevin
