> YarnConfiguration was changed along with the introduction of newer Timeline Service versions to include configuration about the used version. In Hadoop 2.6.0 the distributed shell instantiates Timeline Client whether if it's enabled in the configuration or not. Running this distributed shell on newer Hadoop versions (where the new Timeline Service is available) causes an exception, because the bundled YarnConfiguration doesn't have the necessary version configuration property. Making the Timeline Client initialization conditional the distributed shell would run at least with disabled Timeline Service.
