[jira] [Commented] (AMBARI-11863) Stopping Accumulo tservers can deadlock

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-11863?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14582230#comment-14582230 ]

Josh Elser commented on AMBARI-11863:

(non-binding) +1

I'm still frustrated and confused about why the timeout isn't working as (best as I can tell) it should be, but `kill`'ing the processes instead of trying to gracefully stop them will definitely work (this is an area in Accumulo that is heavily tested).

> Since the Execute operation isn't respecting timeout yet, we should remove the accumulo admin stop call. We can fall back on killing the processes until the stop operation becomes more robust, or can be timed out.
