           Summary: call to a none existing perl file somehow restarts the
                    server  :|O
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.3-HEAD
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Windows 2000
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P2
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: sambukkaa@hotmail.com

The Server just restarts without any warning after a call to a none existing
perl file (usually by hackers trying to call the awstats.pl)
and the error.log file gets filled with lines like below:

[Sat Dec 17 19:57:40 2005] [error] <none>=HASH(0x4a62ce0)
[Sat Dec 17 19:57:40 2005] [error] <none>=HASH(0x44c458c)

What that means? do we need the error.log file getting filled with hundreds of
lines like those?

Well that was my guess. This message seems to come from mod_perl. So the root
cause for this can be found in mod_perl. Please report this problem to the
mod_perl developers
(http://perl.apache.org/docs/2.0/user/help/help.html#Reporting_Problems)
