[jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-17258) Block writes to partitions over a threshold

David Capwell created CASSANDRA-17258:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Block writes to partitions over a threshold
                 Key: CASSANDRA-17258
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-17258
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Legacy/Local Write-Read Paths
            Reporter: David Capwell

With CASSANDRA-16310 we now know (node local) the top partitions (size and number of tombstones) and can leverage this to block adding writes to partitions over a given size (as defined by top partitions).
